30 Day Shakeology and Healthy Eating Group



Lately people have been asking my advice on how I did it - How did I lose the weight I wanted? and  how have I kept it off?  Well you all know I love working out but that is only part of the equation, the other part comes from what I eat and drink.  and YES I LOVE FOOD and I LOVE TO EAT!! 




Nutrition is 80% of the equation so I strongly feel cleaning up my diet is what has helped me the most at keeping off the weight!  When I have been lax about what I eat and drink I notice a difference in how my body looks and feels. 


You also know I love helping others get healthy and fit and I believe in the power of support and accountability because that too was instrumental for me getting on track with my own health and fitness. For this reason I have decided to put together a group to help those who are interested in learning how to eat healthier and how it can help you reach your weight loss goals. 

Let me introduce you to my
 30 Day Shakeology and Healthy Eating Group


For the 30 days in the group, I am going to teach you the basics of clean eating, what to eat, when to eat, and how much to eat. We will incorporate Shakeology as 1 meal each day (whatever meal you choose). Exercise is optional, but is encouraged.  The only requirements are that I am your official Beachbody Coach and that you commit to completing the 30 days with Shakeology.


The group will be setup as a closed facebook group because your privacy is important to me and I want you to have a safe environment to talk freely without the rest of the world knowing!!
My goal for the group is for it to be a supportive and motivating environment where you can share your struggles with food, managing your time, losing weight, and any other struggles you may have. No matter what, I want you to know and feel that
YOU are not alone in your journey! We all have our own reasons for wanting to do what we do and I will be there supporting you every step of the way!! 

Who should do this challenge group?

Anyone who is interested in trying Shakeology but is afraid they won't like it or doesn't want to invest the money because of the cost. It is also a great opportunity for someone who has a busy lifestyle but wants to learn to eat healthy and have energy naturally to get through the day. This group would benefit someone who has a significant amount of weight to lose or someone who only has a few pounds to lose. This group is about living a healthy lifestyle and changing your outlook on life.

This group is also for those that have no idea with were to start in regards to proper nutrition and feeding their bodies to fuel their metabolism.

FOCUS T25 Italian Scramble

Today was my first day of trying out the new exercise program FOCUS T25.  I did Alpha Cardio and loved it!  I am all about quick workouts and 25 minutes is right up my alley.  It was intense but it felt great!! 
In my FOCUS T25 package I also received the Get it Done Right Nutrition Guide.  In there I found this fantastic recipe that will surely please your morning appetite!!


Italian Scramble



Ingredients...
2 large eggs
4 large egg whites (1/2 cup)
2 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese
nonstick cooking spray
5 fresh basil leaves, finely chopped
1/2 medium tomato, chopped


Directions...
1. Combine eggs, egg whites, and cheese in a medium bowl.
2. Heat medium skillet lightly coated with spray over medium-low heat
3. Add egg mixture cook, stirring occasionally, for 3 to 4 minutes
4. Top eggs with basil and tomato

Makes one serving

Vanilla Latte Shakeology Style

Heaven, I'm in Heaven!!



Not only am I loving the new Vanilla Shakeology but I am LOVING the recipe I tried today for my afternoon snack.  Talk about the best of both worlds - Shakeology and coffee!! I think I have also found a new way to have my morning coffee!! This is so darn good I could drink multiple!! 




Vanilla Latte




1 scoop Vanilla Shakeology
1 cup brewed coffee, cooled
1/2 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk
1 teaspoon pure maple syrup (or raw honey)
Ice to taste

Blend and Serve

Blueberry French Toast Casserole

MMMMMmmmmm GOOD!!!!

Caution, this recipe will have you coming back for more!! 



Clean Blueberry French Toast Casserole

Ingredients...
- 6 cups cubed, whole wheat bread
- 8 egg whites
- 1 1/2 cups unsweetened almond milk
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 teaspoons almond extract
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 2 cups fresh blueberries

Directions...
1.  In a large mixing bowl, combine the egg whites, almond milk, honey, extracts, and cinnamon. Whisk well.
2.  Spray a 9 x 13 baking dish with cooking spray and fill with the bread.
3.  Pour liquid mixture over bread  and allow it to sit for at least 30 minutes, mixing once or twice to be sure all parts of the bread are moistened.
4. Mix in the blueberries
5. Bake the casserole at 350 degrees for about 45 minutes or until there is no longer any liquid between the bread.
6. Allow to cool a bit and serve.

Makes about 12 servings

I LOVED this DISH it was amazing!     The only problem I had was I wanted more, so be careful with your portion size and once you are finished - you are finished!! Even though this is a clean recipe you still have to be mindful of how much you are eating!!

Baked Parmesan Fennel

Ever heard of Fennel? I never did until I started eating clean!  Then when I went to look for Fennel at Produce Junction (a local vegetable and fruit market) I didn't even know what Fennel looked like.  Thankfully a very kind lady pointed me in the right direction.

and so here is what fennel looks like...







So now you know what Fennel looks like - have no clue what to do with Fennel? I didn't either until I found this recipe and oh this is such a yummy side dish it would pair well with almost any meal!! 


Baked Parmesan Fennel

ingredients...
6 fennel bulbs, top stalks removed
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 tablespoon garlic powder
1 tablespoon onion powder
1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
fresh parsley for garnish (forgot this until after the picture)

directions...
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
2. Remove the top stalks and greenage from the fennel bulbs, slice off the very bottoms and cut the bulbs in half lengthwise.
3. Remove the inner triangular core
4. If the bulbs are very large, cut the rest into smaller, bite-sized pieces
5. Place the bulbs in a plastic sealed bag with the rest of the ingredients and shake well to coat the fennel in the oil and spices.
6.  Pour the fennel out into a baking dish and bake for 45 minutes to 1 hour or until the fennel is nice and soft
7. Allow to cool slightly and serve

last but not least - enjoy!!!!
