Slow-Cooker Garlic Chicken
Ingredients...
3 1/2 to 4 pounds boneless skinless chicken breast
salt and pepper to taste
1 medium yellow onion, halved and sliced thin
6 garlic cloves, halved
2 teaspoons dried thyme
1 cup dry white wine
1/3 cup whole wheat flour
chopped fresh parsley for garnish
Directions...
1. Season chicken with salt and pepper.
2. Combine onion, garlic, and thyme in a 5 to 6 quart slow cooker and season with salt and pepper. Top with chicken
3. In a small bowl, whisk together wine and flour until smooth & add to slow cooker.
4. Cover and cook on high until chicken is tender about 3 1/2 hours or low for 7 hours.
5. Serve chicken with sauce and garnish with fresh parsley (obviously took picture before garnishing!)
I served this dish with whole wheat penne pasta, roasted root medley, and steamed green beans. It was a hit with the entire family!!
